FEATURE: 50 albums that turn 10 in 2017!

A decade is, especially in the music world, quite a long time, even if it does seem to just flash by and feel like just a month. Ten years ago, back in 2007, things were very different; MySpace was still the kingpin of social media, Bring Me The Horizon were dodging bottles whilst supporting Killswitch Engage night after night, and Give It A Name and Taste Of Chaos were still a thing.

Along with all the nostalgic memories, 2007 was also host to a plethora of great records, some being the first major step for a lot of bands towards the lofty heights of their career that they’re revelling in today.

Of course there are hundreds, but we filtered together 50 great albums that turn 10-years-old this year to remember those modern classics.

NOTE: These albums may bring intense levels and high frequencies of smiles, jumping, involuntary head nodding/banging and limb movements, and uncontrollable happiness.

NEWS: Craig Owens details solo project badXchannels and debut EP, out November 18th 2016!

With fans wondering if Chiodos was over and done with, frontman Craig Owens has confirmed that chapter has closed at the same time he has introduced his new solo project, badXchannels.

Under this guise, Owens will be releasing the project’s debut EP, ‘WHYDFML’, which is scheduled for release on November 18th 2016 via SharpTone Records.

NEWS: Craig Owens (Chiodos) releases grindcore EP!

Craig Owens, vocalist of post-hardcore outfit Chiodos, has released a short grindcore EP, titled ‘Empathy Is A Gift’, under the guise of BEA5T. In the description of the EP, Owens explains “Last summer my friend & I recorded a 7 minute, 4 song EP in my bedroom. Guitar player Thomas Erak, who joined Chiodos in early 2013 and performed on their latest full length LP ‘Devil’, has announced his decision to depart from the band in order to focus on his other project The Fall Of Troy, as-well as his home life. NEWS: Chiodos part ways with drummer Derrick Frost and bassist Matt Goddard!

After unexpectedly dropping off a U.S tour with blessthefall, things look a little uncertain in the Chiodos camp as drummer Derrick Frost and bassist Matt Goddard have also confirmed they have left the band.
