Due the venue’s recent closure, the forthcoming Ceremony in Leeds this Saturday (March 24th 2012) is now no longer taking place at The Well. The show is still going ahead, but has now been moved to Bar Santiago. More information is outlined below:

Since their inception back in 2005, Ceremony have been one of the most respected bands in hardcore. Their fierce live show is a perfect balance of artistry and aggression, and the same can be said for their new album, ‘Zoo’. Opening track ‘Hysteria’ sets the pace of the record, an average speed, perfect for bobbing your head to. You find yourself becoming lost in the rhythm, the repetition of the guitar lulling you into a trance. Gradually the aggression builds, yet the beat remains constant, never altered. This, accompanied with the words “Hysteria, hysteria” echoed again and again is very powerful, almost subliminal.

Note: As only a few members of the site were able to review the festival weekend, we were sadly unable to cover every band performing throughout the day.
Extended to a full three-day weekend and being one of the only festivals to be hosted at a wild animal park, Hevy is most definitely a unique beast that’s growing from strength-to-strength year after year since its creation. With the final day now at hand and a main stage headline set from Four Year Strong to look forward to, it’s definitely a great way to end what’s undeniably a great weekend.
