Note: As only three members of the site were able to review the festival weekend, we were sadly unable to cover every band performing throughout the day.

Extended to a full three-day weekend and being one of the only festivals to be hosted at a wild animal park, Hevy is most definitely a unique beast that’s growing from strength-to-strength year after year since its creation. With such great acts like Sonic Boom Six, Basement and Flood Of Red kicking off the festival weekend, it’s sure to follow in similar great fashion.

GALLERY: Hevy Festival – Friday (05/08/2011)

Not many music festivals are held at animal parks where you can visit the animals alongside seeing some of your favourite bands, but Hevy is certainly one that provides just that. Now with music spread across for a three day weekend, it’s better than ever before. We managed to catch a bunch of shots whilst there, with the Friday event kicking the whole weekend into gear with three great stages of acts.

Featuring: Crossbreaker, Never Means Maybe, Basement, Flood Of Red, Lost Boys, Carcer City and Lower Than Atlantis.

A further 11 acts have been added to the line-up for this year’s Hevy Festival, including UK festival exclusives from both Defeater and Make Do And Mend. Here’s the full list of newly added bands:

NEWS: Jägermeister Music Tour 2010 add local supports!

Local supports have now been added to each date of the upcoming debut Jägermeister Music Tour 2010. Sylosis, Exit Ten and The Defiled will be playing all 5 dates of the tour, and now they’ll be joined alongside with Never Means Maybe in London, Carcer City in Liverpool, Lavotchkin in Newcastle, Madman In Absolute in Glasgow, and Gundogs in Birmingham.
