Carcer City are a progressive metalcore band hailing from Wirral and Liverpool, birthing the self-proclaimed genre ‘scouse metal’. This is possibly a reflection of their earlier sound; well-centred around the brutality and technicality of old Architects and Johnny Truant. With their new, free-to-download album ‘The Road Journals’, Carcer City have shifted from that into a more experimental, less consistent sound, but with some good to show for it.

Not content on the lack of rock orientated festivals within Manchester, the guys over at Mutiny Events decided to call this to an end immediately and so enters the debut year of 3-day weekender, SummerJam.
