Having only formed a couple of years ago and slowly slipping out a couple of songs in the form of ‘Mothers & Fathers’ and ‘Instagram Famous’, Leeds outfit Brawlers have truly burst onto the scene with a force of passion and finesse that many bands even twice as experienced as they are struggle to emulate. Now with an EP and a recent debut full-length under their belts, it seems like this is just the beginning.

After a stint at its second home in Bristol yesterday, Hit The Deck Festival has returned for yet another year in its original home of Nottingham, though has been cut down from seven stages to just four over the twelve months since it last came about. Still, with a headline slot from Skindred on the cards, the smaller dose could still carry the same punch.

The aptly named Northern punk rock outfit Brawlers have gone and done a little album called ‘Romantic Errors Of Our Youth’, and, y’know what? It’s pretty bloody brilliant. Consisting of ten delight grungy pop-punk rock tracks that rarely wander over the 2 and a half minute mark, this release is as concise as it is distinctive.
