There’s nothing like a good festival and, coming into its debut year, Liverpool’s Radstock sits right on Easter bank holiday weekend, making it pretty much the first festival of the year. With a line-up consisting of simply great British acts (bar one or two exceptions), when we were invited to go we just couldn’t refuse. Here’s some photos of a bunch of bands who played throughout the day, including The Blackout, Don Broco, Yashin, Bleed From Within and more:

With its debut year about to take play, Liverpool’s Radstock Festival is pretty much the first music festival of the year. What makes it a special one however is that almost every single band (with one or two exceptions) featured on the line-up is British, a rarity nowadays. Spread across three stages, we had to catch what could well be the beginning of a long lasting festival to come.

With the British metal scene making rather sizable international waves currently, it’s all too easy to forget the hard fought years of toilet circuit toil which has accompanied this rise to the top. With acts such as While She Sleeps and Bury Tomorrow seemingly making the step up remarkably early in their careers, Bleed From Within have endured an undeniably more strenuous slog to earn their place among the upcoming elite. Now, with the release of ‘Uprising’, we can see stark evidence of this uphill battle paying striking dividends.
