Sonisphere have announced a further 11 bands to perform at this year’s festival weekend in Knebworth, which includes a very special set from post-hardcore legends Glassjaw. To mark the 10th anniversary of its release, the band will be performing their highly acclaimed ‘Worship & Tribute’ album from start-to-finish. All newly announced bands are as follows:

After their appearance at this year’s Download Festival last weekend, Alter Bridge have revealed a string of headline UK dates this November. Black Stone Cherry will be main support act for all dates, with an opening support act still to be announced.

NOVEMBER 22 – BIRMINGHAM, LG Arena
NOVEMBER 23 – ​CARDIFF, Motor Point Arena
NOVEMBER 24 – ​MANCHESTER, Evening News Arena
NOVEMBER 26 – ​NEWCASTLE, Metro Radio Arena
NOVEMBER 27 – GLASGOW, SECC
NOVEMBER 29 – ​LONDON, Wembley Arena

Tickets are £24.50 regionally / £26 London, and will go on general sale from 9:00AM on June 17th from Live Nation.

In the space of a decade, Black Stone Cherry have established themselves as one of the frontrunners of American rock. Their name might not have infiltrated every nook and cranny like that of Nickelback, but if you wade through the river of shit that can only be represented by ‘Rockstar’ (a song which simultaneously exalted Nickelback to the pop hall of fame and signed the death warrant of hard-rock’s dignity), then you reach a field where decent rock bands frolic like there was no tomorrow. This is firmly where Black Stone Cherry has set up camp.

Def Leppard are to return to headline Download 2011, after headlining it as early ago as 2009′s festival. Along with this 17 other bands have been added onto the festival line-up: Turisas, All That Remains, Sacred Mother Tongue, Bowling For Soup, The Devil Wears Prada, Bring Me The Horizon, Frank Turner, Cheap Trick, Asking Alexandria, Straight Line Stitch, Disturbed, Black Stone Cherry, The King Blues, Madina Lake, Down, Jameson Raid and Ghost.
