Black Casino And The Ghost: a pop/rock band made up by Ariel Lerner (guitarist), Gary Kilminster (bass), Paul Winter-Hart (drums) and front-woman Elisa Zoot, who also throws in a bit of synth to the mix. The band is relatively young, having only been formed in 2010, but this EP shows a maturity that indicates the members having previous musical exploits and expeditions under their belts. They claim that their music is about isolation, disorientation, lust and how to fly a plane through turbulence without spilling your coffee. So, on the basis of these claims, you’d expect them to sound like a mish-mash fusion consisting of odd time signatures, frantically paced riffs and, perhaps, vocals dripping with anger. But, this couldn’t be further away from the truth.
