Brighton’s Architects have just launched an Indiegogo crowd-funding campaign to help with the production and release of their forthcoming tour documentary film, ’100 Days’. Fans are invitied to pledge money towards it release and in return receive a range of gifts, including inclusion in the credits, limited edition merchandise to attending the premiere. The more socio-political driven messages behind Architects‘ latest full-length ‘Daybreaker’ has undoubtedly managed to turn a few heads both within and outside of their immediate fanbase. Year in and year out, Slam Dunk manages to maintain its reputation as one of the strongest indoor music festivals that the UK has to offer, especially in terms of festivals that offer brilliant pop-punk acts, both established and up-and-coming. Returning again in 2012 with two dates under the helm for the weekend, we made our way to the original North date to take part in what would undoubtedly be one of the best events 2012 had to offer.

Despite the huge success brought to Brighton’s Architects with their 2011 full-length ‘The Here And Now’, the album most certainly polarised opinions within their fanbase, critised by the elitists as being far too commercial and radio rock. If you look at the album properly though, it wasn’t really that mainstream. It held some rather heavy hitters, just listen to ‘Day In Day Out’, ‘The Blues’ and ‘Delete, Rewind’. Still, with new effort ‘Daybreaker’, the band stated they’d be returning to their roots, not feeling comfortable being a band who had tracks that comfortably slotted into daytime radio.
