Back again for its ninth consecutive year, the UK’s number one place of worship for all things super hardcore or brutish metal Ghostfest is back with two stages of zero clashes, getting rid of the third stage they introduced for last year’s event. Still, the two date plan remains, each with secret headliners announced just a couple of weeks before its kick off, and with 40 bands in total, it looks like the weekend of welcomed punishment will be as strong as ever.

One of the heaviest tours to finish off 2010 in the UK, Arizona’s Job For A Cowboy return to November shores with a set of other young and promising bands in the death metal/deathcore scene to blast off a new face in music for 2011 to recreate. Crabcore innovators Attack Attack! are apparently in an online feud on Facebook with Martyr Defiled and Annotations Of An Autopsy. The American group who recently had to cancel their UK tour this month due to illnesses placed the following claim on their offical Facebook page: “Bands like Martyr Defiled and Annotations Of An Autopsy are ignorant to Christ.”
The above post has since been removed, but has left much criticism and destain led to them by fans from all three of the involved bands.

Deathcore being my least favourite genre of all time, being presented with Annotations Of An Autopsy I was slightly dubious over how I might react to it, though was pleasantly surprised to find they are in fact now just a death metal band, which is a good thing.
So this album starts out quite promisingly, ‘In Snakes I Bathe’ being the first ‘proper’ track of the record; fast, heavy and all around pretty competent musicianship all around. However, the next few tracks really don’t change much from this.
