Florida’s own We The Kings return to these less sunny shores for the fourth time, playing their largest set of headlining shows to date in the UK. Such a task may daunt many a young man, but not We The Kings frontman Travis Clark, as he and his band mates hit the stage and roll straight into an assured run through of ‘Skyway Avenue’.

Pop-punk has always had some form of place in the alternative and rock scene, and ever since the surge of the emo scene and the fame of Fall Out Boy in the mid-00s it’s only grew bigger and faster. Since their debut EP and a few line-up changes for the debut record, Emarosa have continued to change their style and sound to a much more refined, mature and melodic product. Where their debut ‘Relativity’ brought a more progressive sound, their eponymous full-length released earlier in the year cut off the meat and got rid of all the stringy and unnecessary bits. It’s worked well in their favour, and with closing their 2010 with one last stint across the UK, it’s been a more than great year for the Kentucky 6-piece.

After Cobra Starship were forced to pull out of their UK tour for September, main support act Forever The Sickest Kids decided amongst themselves that they’ll go ahead and do it without them anyway on their own tour, and from the turn out of the show almost selling out this was a wise move. Manchester Club Academy is almost packed-out with kids, with a fair few using the original Cobra Starship tickets for entry, and they’re all in for a good night.
