Air Dubai have taken the title of their latest album, ‘Be Calm’, a little too literally and created a record that’s as entertaining as a loaf of Tesco Value bread. All thirteen tracks are the hip-hop equivalent of lift music: bland, inoffensive aural pulp designed to be slightly better than silence. Generic doesn’t even begin to describe their sound; in fact it’s just chart bait and is exactly the kind of bullshit you hear in the likes of Hollister or trendy city bars. To be clear, not all songs in the charts are bad, just the oh-so-vast majority are.
