I don’t really know about anyone else, but in my eyes this band has just been in the background and overshadowed by others in this over saturated genre for as long as I can remember. Whilst it’s nothing to do with their music itself, it just seems to do with the recognition they get, or rather don’t get from it. Having some absolute corkers of songs in your back catalogue can do you a lot of good, but a whole album does you a world of good, and this is precisely what this is.
The artwork combines well with the concept of the music, amalgamating their Christian ethics with the fable of wolves in sheep’s clothing. The eerie intro on album opener ‘The Eternal Female’ is enough to scare the cajoles out of most people, however add to that the growling and gravel like vocals of Andy Atkins, crazy guitar shredding and deafening bass and you have a match made in heaven for the remaining nine tracks to follow.
