Nowadays, Kansas City’s Puddle Of Mudd are far more likely to be making headlines for anything that doesn’t involve music, and more often than not it sadly seems to surround some trouble or controversy than frontman Wes Scantlin has gotten himself into.
According to reports by TMZ (here), Scantlin‘s latest scandal seems to revolve around him attempting to board a plane whilst carrying a BB gun. On Saturday (September 9th 2017), he was arrested at LAX and jailed on gun charges with a bail set at $850,000 (£645,734).
The frontman was attempting to fly from Los Angeles, California over to Keller, Texas where Puddle Of Mudd was scheduled to perform at the Bronson Rock venue. Due to the events that transpired, that show was subsequently cancelled.
At the time of writing, it’s unclear if and when Scantlin will post bail.
Though there have been very little reports and updates on its progress since 2015, the band are reportedly working on their yet-to-be-titled sixth studio album, and follow-up to 2009’s ‘Volume 4: Songs In The Key Of Love & Hate’.
