It’s no secret that former Blink-182 vocalist/guitarist Tom DeLonge has been focusing pretty heavily on his interests surrounding space and extra-terrestrials since he left the pop-punk trio in 2015.
Since his departure from the group he’s done several things both in and out of music, including founding the To The Stars Academy Of Arts And Sciences, an organization for the study of UFOs and extraterrestrial life.
Now, he can add producer to his growing resume, as DeLonge has been confirmed to be working as an executive producer on a forthcoming History Channel series called ‘Unidentified: Inside America’s UFO Investigation’.
The six-part series will follow the revelation in 2017 by the New York Times that the Pentagon was running a mysterious investigation into potential extraterrestrial attacks under the name Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP), and will also feature an interview by DeLonge with former military intelligence official and Special Agent In-Charge of AATIP, Luis Elizondo.
You can watch a short trailer of the show below.
Speaking about the show, DeLonge had this to say.
“With this show, the real conversation can finally begin. I’m thankful to HISTORY for giving the To The Stars Academy team of world-class scientists, engineers and intelligence experts the opportunity to tell the story in a comprehensive and compelling way. I think everyone that watches the show will walk away with questions answered and a feeling of, ‘wow, I get it now.'”
The series is scheduled to premiere on History Channel in May 2019. More details are expected to follow soon.
