Excluding their impromptu performance on Independence Day where they performed a small handful of songs from the back of a U-Haul truck in the car park (or, parking lot) of Randy’s Donuts in Inglewood, California, freshly born super group The Fever performed their first ever show earlier this week (August 31st 2017) at The Roxy Theatre in West Hollywood.
The group is composed of vocalist Jason Aalon Butler (ex-letlive.), guitarist Stephen “Stevis” Harrison (ex-The Chariot), and drummer Aric Improta (Night Verses).
Before bringing their set to a close, which they ended with latest released single ‘Hunting Season’, frontman Butler introduced a guest artist coming to the stage as “a friend that’s gonna come drum. He’s from a local band in San Diego.” That said drummer from a local band in San Diego was Travis Barker of Blink-182.
Both Barker and Improta drummed together for the track, with Improta moving over from the kit and playing on some steel drums beside Barker on the stage.
You can watch a fan-shot video of the band performing ‘Hunting Season’ with Barker behind the kit.
Along with performing already unveiled songs ‘Hunting Season’ and ‘We’re Coming In’, the band also debuted a bunch of previously unreleased and unheard tracks. The full set list for the evening is as follows, with links to fan-shot videos for each song.
More details surrounding forthcoming releases from The Fever will be confirmed as and when they develop.
