Alex Lyman, guitarist and founding member of the Californian post-hardcore troupe Slaves, has announced via his official Facebook profile earlier today that he’ll be parting ways with the group following the conclusion of their current North American headline tour.
You can read the full statement that was posted by Lyman below:
“I’m going to skip the super long statement for this one and just say that this tour we are on right now will be my last tour with Slaves and I will no longer be a part of Slaves. I’m in the middle of collaborating on a new CD with my good friend Anna Clendening that I think you all will really like. I hope to see some of you again or meet some of you I haven’t before on the remainder of this tour. This choice is a big relief for me and I hope you guys can support that.
As of yet, there’s no official statement from Slaves or any other representative of the band.
The band’s latest full-length album, ‘Routine Breathing’, is available now through Artery Recordings.
