NEWS: Sean Smith (ex-The Blackout) launches Sappenin’ Podcast!

Born and raised in Merthyr Tydfil, Sean Smith is best known for fronting the now defunct Welsh outfit The Blackout, who disbanded back in March 2015 due to being “unable to sustain this band anymore”.

Since The Blackout‘s split, Smith has performed some guest vocal spots for other bands, the occasional nightclub DJ appearance, some TV presenting and host work, and has recently also formed another band called Raiders.

Now, he’s adding podcast host to his growing resume by launching Sappenin’ Podcast, which Smith describes as a lifestyle, music, and comedy podcast with a behind the scenes look at band life thrown in, and will also feature his friend Morgan Richards as co-host.

The first episode has launched today (November 30th 2018), which focuses on the end of The Blackout, why they split up, how Smith felt about it, and a lot more.

You can stream and listen to it on Spotify (here), Apple Music (, and Acast (here).
