After premiering on the BBC Radio 1 Rock Show recently, hotly tipped London trio Puppy have released a new video for their track ‘World Stands Still’, which acquaints us with a Goblin Girl character.

The video was directed by the band’s drummer, Billy Howard, who had this to offer about it.

“Many of our biggest influences as a band are movies, computer games and music that we loved as pre-pubescent/just pubescent kids. We never really got over that kind of immature excitement for the stuff we found cool.

Equally though, there’s kind of a loneliness and weirdness to being that age, (which is actually probably part of the reason you throw yourself so completely into all the stuff you find cool in the first place).

We think that the Goblin Girl from our new video ‘World Stands Still’ embodies this juvenile side to our band pretty neatly, and we hope you enjoy watching her adventures as much as we enjoyed filming them.”

You can stream and watch the video for ‘World Stands Still’ below.

The band’s debut full-length album, ‘The Goat’, is scheduled for release on January 25th 2019 through Spinefarm Records.

You can pre-order ‘The Goat’ online now from the label’s official webstore (here), iTunes (here), Amazon (here), and Google Play (here).
