After a bit of a delay from the initial date that they planned to make their first line-up announcement for the 2018 bill, the organisers of Download Festival have now confirmed and named The Prince of Darkness and rock icon Ozzy Osbourne as the first main stage headliner.
The set would mark Ozzy Osbourne‘s first ever solo headlining set at the prestigious rock festival, though he has performed whilst fronting his legendary band Black Sabbath in 2005, 2012, and in 2016 during their final and aptly titled The End Tour before disbanding back in March of this year.
More additions to the line-up, including the remaining two main stage headliners for the weekend, will be confirmed over the coming months.
Next year’s Download Festival will take place on June 8th-10th 2018 at Donington Park, Derby. Tickets are available now, including both camping and non-camping options, and also the option to pay in an instalment plan, and can be purchased online via the festival’s official website (here).
