In 2015, Mötley Crüe brought both the year and their career as a band together to an end, bringing their aptly titled The Final Tour to a climax at the Staples Center, Los Angeles and parting ways after 24 years together.

Though their time touring together may be over and done with, it seems that they’ve still got a few more songs left in them that will be seeing the light of day in the coming months.

Frontman Vince Neil took to Twitter to share the news, confirming that the band will be heading into the studio again in a few weeks to record four new songs, and that though they won’t be touring any further, they plan to continue putting out new music.

A few hours later, bassist Nikki Sixx also confirm the news through his personal Twitter account, and also implied that at least some of the new material will appear on the forthcoming release of the film adaptation of their popular group biography, The Dirt.

At the time of writing, neither guitarist Mick Mars or drummer Tommy Lee have personally commented.

More details surrounding new material from Mötley Crüe will be confirmed as it develops.
