Cambridge’s Lonely The Brave have had a vapid space remaining in the vocalist spot of their line-up since the exit of David Jakes back in March. Well, now the spot has been filled.
The alternative rock outfit have now introduced Jack Bennett as their new frontman, who has performed for several years in a solo project under the moniker Grumble Bee.
The band released a statement regarding Bennett‘s joining of the line-up.
“We don’t know where to start with everything that has happened over the last 12 Months or so, so first of all we all want to say thank you to every single one of you that has messaged us with your support during this period. Nothing worth doing is ever easy and your continued words of encouragement really have helped galvanise our belief that this band has so much more to give. It fills us with pride to say that this new chapter of our history will begin in earnest on the 13th October. The show is our way of thanking every single one of you for standing by us and understanding that this is a continuation; that the songs really are the most important part.”
Along with this, Bennett also made and released a statement of his own, which you can read below.
“It’s hard to not write a long status about joining Lonely The Brave as their new vocalist moving forward – so I’ve set up a separate Instagram and Twitter so I can receive hate on a smaller scale (@JackBennettUK). Basically, the guys are absolute legends and allowing them to continue making music is an honour. Form an orderly queue team and get your heckles in order for October 13th, where I’ll be screaming my lungs out in London at Omeara. We chatted to Kerrang! about LTB, which is available online and in shops now. I will be part of two album releases next year and I’ve also been working on some other stuff. Basically looking at taking over the moon… anyone coming?”
The band’s first live performance with their new vocalist and line-up will be at Omeara, London on October 13th 2018.
