The world was shook on March 4th 2019 upon hearing the news that Keith Flint, vocalist for The Prodigy, had tragically passed away after taking his own life.
Since then, tributes and condolences have poured in from all corners of the world, including both fans and peers alike, and British metal/rap crossover group Hacktivist are one of the latest.
The band have just shared a very recently finished cover of The Prodigy‘s 2005 single, ‘Spitfire’, in honour of Flint. This is what they had to say about it.
“We’ve made a cover of ‘Spitfire’ as a tribute to The Prodigy, a group we have always looked up to. Nothing but love and respect for them, especially at this time after the loss of a friend & a legend, Keith Flint.
We will all be affected by suicide in our lifetime. Please consider donating to Help Musicians UK: a mental health charity specifically targeted at helping musicians overcome mental health issues.”
You can stream and check out their cover of ‘Spitfire’ below.
