Despite boasting a formidable line-up, which included the likes of Pulled Apart By Horses, Rolo Tomassi, Fort Hope, and Normandie, to name but a few, the organisers of Bedfordshire based independent festival Fort Fest has regrettably announced that they’ve been forced to cancel this year’s event due to poor ticket sales.
The three-day long festival was expected to be held at Scald End Farm, Bedford on August 4th-6th, and would be the festival’s second year following their successful 2016 debut.
Speaking of the cancellation of the event, organiser Jon Hewitt said, “We are deeply saddened that we have had to cancel Fort Fest. After a very promising start last year, ticket sales have been extremely disappointing and there was no prospect of us being able to deliver the festival that we had planned or that everyone involved deserves. We would like to apologise to everyone who has bought tickets, and to the bands and traders that supported Fort Fest. Full refunds will, of course, be forthcoming this week.”
All ticket holders will be refunded with the next seven days.
