The MTV Video Music Awards – the world’s biggest awards show of its type – have announced the nominations for their 2018 ceremony, which will be held once again in New York City.
Naturally, the list is dominated by pop, dance, and R&B acts, but rock artists have their own category of ‘Best Rock Video’, with the likes of Foo Fighters, Panic! At The Disco and Fall Out Boy all up for nomination.
In fact, it’s Foo Fighters‘ eighteenth nomination. They were first nominated in 1996 for ‘Best Group Video’ (which they won with ‘Big Me’), but haven’t taken home an award since 2011 when they won ‘Best Rock Video’ for ‘Walk’.
The full list of nominees for ‘Best Rock Video’ are as follows.
Fall Out Boy – ‘Champion’
Foo Fighters – ‘The Sky Is A Neighbourhood’
Imagine Dragons – ‘Whatever It Takes’
Linkin Park – ‘One More Light’
Panic! At The Disco – ‘Say Amen (Saturday Night)’
Thirty Seconds To Mars – ‘Walk On Water’
The 2018 edition of the annual MTV Video Music Awards will take place on August 20th in New York City.
