INTRODUCING: Nowhere To Be Found

We’re putting the spotlight on the hottest and most exciting new bands around with our Introducing feature, ready to highlight the artists with the biggest potential to make an impact on their scene.

Portuguese alternative metal group Nowhere To Be Found rebranded themselves back in 2017 to become a quartet with a new, heavier sound compared to their first release ‘Safe Haven’. The band are preparing for their sophomore effort which we are expecting soon enough in early 2019 with first single ‘Traverse’ featuring Matty Mullins of Memphis May Fire hitting our ears on February 7th. If you’re into metal fuelled radio rock then you’ll want to be listening to this when it drops.

DP!: How would you describe yourselves to someone who has never heard Nowhere To Be Found before?
Nowhere To Be Found: We would describe ourselves as a metalcore band with an alternative rock soul. We love it heavy on the instrumental and melodic on the voice.

DP!: How did the band form?
NTBF: We are actually high school friends and somehow all the other bands we had throughout the years collapsed and melted to the point we found each other not only as friends but also as band mates.

DP!: What plans do you have for the future?
NTBF: In the long run, world domination [laughter]. For 2019, we hope to get some more singles out, finish recording the album and make a couple of european tours.

DP!: Which new bands are you listening to right now?
NTBF: The four of us listen to profoundly different things, but we’ve been listening to a lot of Polaris and Loathe.

DP!: Which bands do you aspire to and why?
NTBF: At this point, we feel very inspired by Architects. They’ve been through so much, their sound has evolved into something so powerful, they have such a huge fan base and yet… they seem to remain the same old down-to-earth nice guys. That’s something really beautiful, both musically and personally.

DP!: What’s the stand out moment in your career so far?
NTBF: Well it has to be recording the new songs with Henrik Udd and then mastering them with Ted Jensen. We learned SO MUCH about music and song writing in such short time, it was mind blowing.

Nowhere To Be Found‘s new single ‘Traverse’ featuring Matt Mullins is out February 7th.
