DP!: How would you describe yourselves to someone who has never heard 7he 7ouch before?
7he 7ouch: We are an upbeat modern rock ‘n’ roll force that is ready to drop your jaw to the ground and leave you with a story to tell.

DP!: How did the band form?
7he 7ouch: Everything first started back in 2012 when two different childhood friendships; Constantine (vocals), Stelios (guitar), John (guitar), Toni (bass), and Apostolis (drums) got together for a jam in the studio. John and Constantine were already working on some new ideas so they wanted to get together to see what would happen. There was a need to escape from our daily routine, and a lust to make new music and experiment with new sounds that ultimately bought us together, and we really enjoyed playing together too. So, this is how the foundations of 7he 7ouch were formed.

Then back in the fall of 2014 amidst the financial crisis, Greece wasn’t the best place to be and the music industry was non-existent, so we decided to take a leap and pursue a musical career in London. The first days were tough, but we learned from it and every new beginning has its difficulties and obstacles to overcome. The most important thing was that we had each other through it all.

DP!: What plans do you have for the future?
7he 7ouch: We are set for our EP release, which is titled ‘Seventyseven’, and then we are ready for our first UK tour! We are hitting the road on November 9th performing Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham and then London for our headline show celebrating the EP Launch. We can’t wait!

DP!: Which new bands are you listening to right now?
7he 7ouch: So many good bands/artists are creating great music, I will try to cover some of them. We are big fans of Highly Suspect, Royal Blood, Lukas Graham, Cleopatrick, and a bit of Walk The Moon lately. I don’t know if all these guys are considered new, but they are new to our ears. I guess music is something that never ends and that is the magic of it.

DP!: Which bands do you aspire to and why?
7he 7ouch: The genius and musicianship of Led Zeppelin, the fire of The Rolling Stones, the eccentricity of Bowie, the attitude of Guns N’ Roses, the insanity of Ozzy and Black Sabbath, the sensitivity of Pearl Jam, the nerve and true grit of Nirvana, and the aesthetics and chill of Deftones. You know this is why music is such a grateful thing to our cosmos. It’s not just one thing or one person, inspiration can come from every source of energy in this universe. It’s beautiful.

DP!: What’s the stand out moment in your career so far?
7he 7ouch: Selling out The Camden Assembly last year I think was a great moment. The show was amazing, and I still remember how crazy the crowd went. It was definitely a stand out moment for us that brought a special connection between us and the people who came to see us.

7he 7ouch‘s brand new single, ‘Knobs’, is out now and you can listen to it via various different digital outlets (here).
