Many bands go through turbulent times, and California metalcore bruisers Of Mice & Men have had their fair share. Their last album ‘Cold World’ received mixed reviews, and vocalist Austin Carlile departed the band for the second time in 2016, citing both ongoing health problems and shortly after musical differences. But, they’re back on the scene again with bassist and clean vocalist Aaron Pauley taking the reigns as frontman, ready to burst your eardrums with the aptly titled new album, ‘Defy’.

In a world that seems to be topsy-turvy, general songs about heartbreak and girls just don’t cut it for Great Collapse. 2017 was an interesting year to say the least, and the five-piece band, consisting of current and former of cult bands Rise Against, Death By Stereo, and Set Your Goals aren’t holding back on talking about the more negative. When Californian dark pop group The Neighbourhood surprise released their five-track ‘Hard’ a few months back, it signalled a slight change in sound from their previous efforts. With a more progressive rock and indie vibe, anticipation was high for its follow-up. ‘To Imagine’ sees the band experiment further with an 80s vibe and electro-pop sounds. London based quintet Greyhaven have only been a band for a couple of years now, yet they’ve amassed quite a following so far. With their debut release ‘State Of Mind’ dropping just last year and, with it being so well received, the band have had a lot to live up to.
