NEWS: Opeth announce Royal Albert Hall DVD

As part of the ongoing celebration of their 20th anniversary this year, Sweden’s dark metalheads Opeth are releasing audio and video recordings from the band’s recent performance at the Royal Albert Hall.

‘In Live Concert At The Royal Albert Hall’ is set for release on September 20th, and will be available as either a limited edition vinyl boxset, or a 5-disc set consisting of 2 DVDs and 3 CDs.

NEWS: Smashing Pumpkins perform benefit concert for Madina Lake bassist!

Smashing Pumpkins will perform a benefit concert next Tuesday, July 27th at Chicago’s Metro to raise money for medical care for Matthew Leone, bassist for Chicago band Madina Lake. Earlier this month, Matthew Leone was hospitalized with severe brain trauma after intervening to stop a woman he passed on the street from being beaten by her husband. Alleged suspect Justin Pivec is currently charged with Aggravated Battery Causing Serious Bodily Harm and out on bail pending a forthcoming hearing.
