NEWS: Bloodstock 2011 reveal final headline acts!

Derby’s Bloodstock Festival have revealed the final headline acts for the weekend, along with some more additions to the line-up. Motorhead have been announced as the Sunday night headliners to close the festival, and W.A.S.P. to headline the main stage on the Friday. Other bands added onto the line-up are Hammerfall, Poisonblack, ByFrost, Deadly Circus Fire and Primevil.

NEWS: Dragonforce reveal new vocalist!

Britain’s progressive metal outfit Dragonforce have announced that their long search for a new vocalist is finally over. After entries from thousands of hopefuls across the globe, the band welcome 23-year-old Marc Hudson to replace original frontman ZP Theart who parted ways with the band in March of last year. The band are set to release their new album in September 2011, and Marc Hudson‘s audition video for the group can be seen below:

The annual pop-punk weekend festival Slam Dunk has now gone bigger and nationwide, with Slam Dunk On Tour dates now taking place at various places across the country. Here are the dates of the tour (including the full weekend festival dates), along with the bands performing at each show:

MAY 27 – Slam Dunk Scotland – GLASGOW, ABC (w/ Less Than Jake, Anti-Flag, Goldfinger & Set Your Goals)
MAY 28 – Slam Dunk Festival (North) – LEEDS, University (the full festival line-up)
MAY 29 – Slam Dunk Festival (South) – HATFIELD, University Of Hertfordshire (the full festival line-up)
MAY 30 – Slam Dunk Birmingham – BIRMINGHAM, HMV Institute (w/ Less Than Jake, The Starting Line, Goldfinger, Anti-Flag, We Are The Ocean, Set Your Goals, Hit The Lights, MC Lars and more TBC)

NEWS: Eminem and Arctic Monkeys to headline V Festival 2011!

V Festival have announced Eminem and Arctic Monkeys as the weekend’s headliners for 2011. Rihanna will also perform just before Eminem, making high probability of a collaboration of their popular hit single, ‘Love The Way You Lie’. Plan B will preceed Arctic Monkeys on the day they perform.

NEWS: Jonny Craig enters into rehab!

Emarosa/Dance Gavin Dance vocalist and solo artist Jonny Craig is to enter into a North Hollywood detox facility to receive treatment for the drug addictions that have “plagued him for several years”. The label Rise Records and Artery Foundation Artist Management have taken financial responsibility for the recent Internet fraud claims that have become public in the past few weeks, where Jonny Craig had allegedly been failing to send people MacBooks after people had already paid for them.

Ex-Tides Of Man vocalist Tilian Pearson will assume vocal duties for Emarosa for the remainder of their current US tour. All Dance Gavin Dance shows are to go ahead as scheduled.
