NEWS: Gay For Johnny Depp to release new album February 14th and announce tour dates!

Gay For Johnny Depp are set to release their new studio full-length ‘What Doesn’t Kill You, Eventually Kills You’ on February 14th 2011.

Soon after the album’s release, the band will be setting off on a UK tour, with The Computers tagging along as support. Here are the full dates of the tour:

NEWS: Red Bull Bedroom Jam returns for 2011!

Returning once more for its fifth year, Red Bull Bedroom Jam is back for 2011. The contest has helped propel many bands from local favourites to mainstream stardom since its inception, and now bands can start submitting their entries to be in the chance of joining the Bedroom Jam tour; taking in five of the biggest UK festivals, a recording session at the Red Bull Studios London and the chance to support an established band on a major UK tour later this year.

If you’re in a band or know someone who is and would like to enter into winning this competition, here’s how you can get yourselves involved:
· From now on bands can upload their videos to the Red Bull Bedroom Jam site.
· 15 bands will be chosen using the Buzz Radar system to play live shows live from their bedrooms every Monday at 5:00pm
· 8 bands will be chosen by this year’s judges: Andy Copping, Vice President of Live Nation, Beckie Sugden of The Agency Group and Aled Phillips of Kids In Glass Houses to continue to the Festival Stage.
· At the end of the festival season, 3 finalists will be chosen by the judges.
· The final 3 will go head to head in a public vote to see who walks away as the Bedroom Jam Champion.

NEWS: Jerry Roush comments about leaving Of Mice & Men!

After original Of Mice & Men vocalist Austin Carlile announced hi return to the band, his replacement and now the band’s ex-vocalist Jerry Roush posted a statement about being fired from the band. His statement read as follows:

“Hey everyone… after sacrificing a year out of my life to keep a band afloat and touring after they kicked out the original singer, I just got a call informing me that they are bringing him back and my services were no longer needed. They didn’t offer me a reason. I think it’s a little odd seeing how they all talked epic amounts of shit on him the entire time. Anyway, iIalready have some new stuff up my sleeve and I WILL NOT stop. This isn’t the last of Jerry Roush. Thanks to everyone who supported me… keep a lookout!”

NEWS: Original Of Mice & Men vocalist rejoins the band!

Original Of Mice & Men vocalist Austin Carlile who left the band in the Summer of 2010 due to health reasons has now rejoined the band again, taking place of Jerry Roush who replaced him. Alan Ashby has also joined the band to perform rhythm guitar duties. The band are set to begin recording their sophomore record next month.
