Starting their story with the humble beginnings of high school, aged around 15/16 years old, All Time Low managed to get the formula right pretty early on in their careers. It’s been since their 2005 EP ‘Put Up Or Shut Up’ that they’ve been rising stars in the world of pop-rock/pop-punk, and here we are in 2017 with album seven on the way, and it looks like they still have a firm stranglehold on the genre.

Ever since his initial burst onto the scene ten years ago, fronting hardcore punk outfit Gallows, Watford lad Frank Carter quickly became revered as one of the most lively and aggressive vocalists in the genre. A decade later, with a few years of life under his belt, his new project with The Rattlesnakes channels that aggression in equal measure with the hard rock takings of his other former project Pure Love, and ultimately results in Carter at the prime of his career.

Some say that timing is everything, and in the case of Scottish noisy pop-rockers Vukovi, that saying certainly holds some notable weight to it. Though the band certainly haven’t been quiet over the years, dropping a couple of EPs and making a few tour support and festival appearances here and there, it’s not until now with the release of their debut album that the quartet are standing up for everyone to take notice, and nothing celebrates that more than a headline tour.

It’s crazy to think that following the debacle of their time on major label Island Records and the lukewarm at best reaction to their one output on that imprint, ‘Changing Tune’, Watford’s Lower Than Atlantis were very much considering throwing in the towel. Yet, here we are, two albums later, their most successful date, and the band are on the road on their biggest UK headline tour to date.

Admittedly though exposure over in the UK for fresh faced Swedish heavy hitters Heartaches has been somewhat minimal, evidently the weight and hype behind the debut EP ‘Svart’ is enough to justify their debut headliner over on these shores just a few short months after release. With their first visit to Manchester, they’ve brought along another 4 bands to open up for them at Satan’s Hollow.

Withstanding the test of time much better than an awful lot of their contemporaries, part of Taking Back Sunday‘s key to ongoing success and consistently prominent name amongst their peers is their ability to in turn consistently put out material that maintains their ethos without compromising on quality or overly rehashed ideas. Seven albums and nearly two decades deep in their career, they’re back on UK soil.

With Star Wars being one of the most popular franchises, hosting one of the biggest and most dedicated fan followings ever, it was only a matter of time until a band came along with both the talent and the willingness to put enough effort into their aesthetics that they look like they came straight from the films. Enter Galactic Empire; the world’s first professional Star Wars themed metal band.

It’s been disputed that deathcore as a genre is one that is slowly fading away; recently Scott Lewis of Carnifex even said himself that he feels it’s only them, Whitechapel, and Suicide Silence who are still carrying that flag high in terms of established names. But, what about Utah’s Chelsea Grin? Are they worthy of joining their peers in that same breath?

Few British bands over the past couple of years have caused waves as crushing and consuming as that of as Brighton’s own Black Peaks. Their debut album ‘Statues’ crashed its way onto top albums lists aplenty at the end of last year, and what better way to close off that remarkable chapter of their career than their own headline tour, playing the record from start-to-finish.

With the close of 2016 and turn into 2017, it seems like the topic of politics is hot on everyone’s tongues and social media feeds, especially with the turn of Donald Trump entering office as the US President, and the impending trigger of Article 50 for Brexit in just a few weeks. A pro, however, is a surge in politically driven punk rock coming to the forefront. That’s exactly what’s brought us here tonight.
