Rating:

Deathcore as a genre is something that has been done to death, reaching its zenith in the mid-2000s with bands such as Job For A Cowboy, Whitechapel, and Carnifex, so to create a band within this genre is almost a risk few should make. In the case of Alabama’s Widowmaker, however, this seems to have been pulled off successfully.

It was a sad day for the pop-punk scene back in February 2016 when New York quintet We Are The In Crowd announced news of their hiatus, unleashing a wave of disappointment across the scene. Four years is the longest wait that we’ve faced between releases from Arizona’s Greeley Estates, a band who’ve been criminally underrated and under appreciated over their 15 year career, seeing many of their more fresh-faced peers see more commercial success despite their material, in almost every aspect, paling in comparison. Despite all the hardships, Greeley Estates continue on, and as always, they don’t pull any punches.
