Essex bred pop-punk outfit The Hype Theory are celebrating the release of their second full-length studio album, ‘Captives’, with a free show at London’s Camden Barfly later this month. More details can be found below:

Jeff Hanneman, guitarist and founding member of thrash metal legends Slayer, has tragically passed away at the age of 49. After a period out of the band with a serious spider bite from which he contracted necrotizing fasciitis in February 2011, the guitarist died at 11:00AM on May 3rd 2013 from liver failure. Slayer have posted the following statement:
