NEWS: With Confidence part ways with guitarist, Luke Rockets!

Following allegations coming to light very recently surrounding Luke Rockets – guitarist for Australian pop-rock outfit With Confidence – sexually harassing a minor, it seems that the band have decided to now remove Rockets from the band completely and will be continuing on without him.

The alleged victim has decided to remain anonymous, but their story and experiences were shared by a friend through Facebook.

You can read their post describing their story, including some screenshots of some explicit conversations between Rockets and the victim, in full below.

Since the news broke, Illinois pop-punks Knuckle Puck have subsequently removed With Confidence as support from the remainder of their North American tour, which began back in early October and was scheduled to continue until next week.

Shortly after this was confirmed, With Confidence posted a statement, confirming that they have removed Rockets from the band completely. You can read their full statement below.

“Late last night, an allegation came to our attention about our guitarist Luke Rockets. Luke Rockets is no longer a member of With Confidence.

We are passionate about music being a safe space for people of all ages and are extremely disappointed and disgusted. We had absolutely no idea this had happened.

This sort of abuse of power has been all too prevalent in today’s industry. It is in these circumstances that people need to be completely stripped of that power and held accountable for their actions.

We support and have endless respect for the individual who has come forward and ask that everyone respect their right to privacy.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to complete the remainder of our US tour. We apologise but ask for your understanding.

We will continue to do whatever we can to support and empower all those who have supported us.

Jayden, Josh, and Inigo
With Confidence”
