NEWS: Moose Blood speak out on allegations against drummer, Glenn Harvey!
March 22nd, 2017
In recent weeks, sexual harassment allegations towards Moose Blood drummer Glenn Harvey have surfaced online, claiming that Harvey has sent unsolicited photos and/or videos. One woman has stepped forward, regarding an incident that occurred back in 2015.
It has been reported that following Harvey sending such content towards the woman without consent, who has confirmed despite rumours that of the time of the incident occurring she was indeed over 18 years of age, her boyfriend and Harvey exchanged a series of messages, in which he was asked to stop.
Following the influx of attention regarding these allegations, and these string of messages in particular, Harvey appears to have stopped using his Twitter account (here), and set his Instagram account to private too (here).
The band have now released a statement regarding these allegations, in which they’ve confirmed that Harvey is no longer a part of Moose Blood, and though there’s no word on a replacement at this time, they will continue with the remainder of their North American tour (excluding tonight’s show in St. Louis) with a “good friend” on drums.
As mentioned in the band’s statement above, they along with their label Hopeless Records will be making a donation towards the anti-sexual violence organisation, RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network).
