NEWS: Glassjaw perform new songs ‘Shira’ and ‘Metal’ at first show of 2017!

This time last year, the idea of post-hardcore legends Glassjaw finally releasing a third full-length album and follow-up to 2002’s ‘Worship & Tribute’ seemed incredibly possible. They’d performed several new and unreleased songs live, including a set at London’s The Old Blue last in January, playing almost half a set’s worth of unheard material.

More than 12 months on, any further news on a third album is yet to come to light, but the band are continuing to perform new songs live, suggesting some hope that it will happen one day.

Last night, the New York quartet performed two new songs, tentatively titled ‘Shira’ and ‘Metal’, at the annual Musink Festival in Costa Mesa, CA – the band’s first live performance of 2017.

They may be songs that the band have already performed live a few times throughout the past 12 months, but you can view these new song performances, and by extension the latest versions of these songs below:

Along with the two aforementioned songs, other tentative titles for new songs from the band’s elusive third album include ‘Neo’, ‘Post Apocalyptic’, and ‘Abigados’.

It’s also been reported that at least “a whole album’s worth of material” for the release has been recorded by The Dillinger Escape Plan drummer, Billy Rymer (here).

More news surrounding the band’s yet-to-be-titled third studio album will be confirmed as and when it develops.
