EXCLUSIVE AUDIO: Fraktions – Anguish (EP)

Set to make their own mark in the world of progressive/technical metal with their new EP ‘Anguish’ when it drops later this week, we’ve teamed up with London’s Fraktions to bring you an exclusive stream of the release a few days early. The EP was both recorded and mixed by Dan Reid, and mastered by Acle Kahney.

You can stream and listen to their new ‘Anguish’ EP from start-to-finish via the embedded player below:

A great addition to the titanic wave of British tech metal emerging lately, Fraktions are ideal for those that foam at the mouth for the likes of TesseracT, Periphery, Bleed From Within, Animals As Leaders, Architects, The Arusha Accord, and all that jazz.

The concept behind ‘Anguish’ revolves around the final chapter of a schizophrenic woman’s life. The protagonist, Sarah, suffers from paranoid schizophrenia, meaning she experiences aural hallucinations for most hours of the day if she does not take her prescribed medication. The compositional aim is to transport the listener into the frantic and unpredictable mind of someone with schizophrenia.

If you like what you hear, you can pre-order the ‘Anguish’ EP now via the band’s official BandCamp page (here). The EP is out on August 12th 2016.
