NEWS: Ex-Neck Deep guitarist seeks legal advice following allegations!

With serious allegations surfacing online recently against Lloyd Roberts, who stepped down from British pop-punk outfit Neck Deep a few days ago in light of these accusations, the now former guitarist for the group is seeking legal advice and has spoke with the police in an effort to clear his name.

The guitarist recently spoke to the publication North Wales Daily Post, who posted an article yesterday about his departure and his aim to clear his name. Roberts had the following to say to the Welsh newspaper:

“Last weekend there were some very serious allegations made against myself and other band members of Neck Deep. I was horrified and sickened by these accusations.

I have now instructed lawyers and contacted the police in order to clear my name and to be proactive in confronting these allegations.

I took the immediate decision to take a break from the band, which was a gut-wrenching decision as we have all worked so hard to get where we have and I do not want to let any of our fans down. I hope our fans understand.”

A few days ago, the band made a statement regarding Roberts‘ decision to leave the band, their stance on the situation, and have confirmed that all forthcoming shows will go ahead as scheduled, including a spot at Reading/Leeds Festival this weekend. You can read the statement here.

The band’s second full-length studio album, ‘Life’s Not Out To Get You’, is out now through Hopeless Records.
