Punk rock trio Green Day have announced they have had to cancel all of their remaining 2012 tour dates in support of their new album trilogy. Their 2013 tour dates have been postponed as well.the band confirming this is due to frontman Billie Joe Armstrong being admitted into rehab after an on-stage incident last month.

“Obviously the timing for this isn’t ideal, but Billie Joe’s well-being is our main concern,” said bassist Mike Dirnt regarding the news. The band have also announced that the release date of the third album of the currently trilogy, ‘¡Tré!’, has been pushed back to January 2013.
